IES Sedaví

 IES Sedavi, located very next to the Mediterranean city of Valencia, is an educational public center with 51 teachers and 490 students from 12 to 18 years old. 32 of the teachers have a final destination in our school, which is a key to a guarantee of success of long term projects. There is a great interest in innovation, so in the latest years we have been working on it ,especially in topics such as cohabitation, key competencies, introduction of ICTs in our daily practice and getting into E twinning
and European activities. Now we are in a students exchange with Sweden In our school two languages cohabite (Valencià and Castilian) which means we are respectful and opened to linguistic diversity. We are already a multilingual center. In order to open our school to Europe we have created a teachers group taking part of Erasmus + programs applications . We are in 10 active E twinnig projects involving French, English and Spanish. Last year we were givn Spanis and European quality label in 8 projects and we achieved to become an E twinning school. We are used to organizing events with our students and also with people from other schools.We have teachers who have travelled abroad with students and we are used to doing it every year.
We have been to seminars organized by our government to learn how Erasmus + work. We have had job shadowing in centres that are working with K2.We are used to housing students from different countries studying in our school. At school there are students from very different countries (immigrants) and they are used to cohabiting peacefully We are very interested in working together with european partners to improve languages and have a cultural and pedagogical understanding of other schools.
That´s why we have a group of 3 English teachers, a French teacher, two Maths teachers, a Phylosophy teacher, a ICTs teacher , a PE teacher, two Music and Arts teachers, and two  Biology and Natural Sciences ones ready to work in Erasmus + projects.
We have had our first Erasmus with CLEAN ( 2018-20) which has  become a real experience . Our second Erasmus, called MESI  is also a great success. We have been acredited as an Erasmsu School until 2027

We believe this is the best way of learning and innovating at school. Our Educational community demands this kind of interesting projects and they are involvedin them..
